  • Saturday and Sunday from 1p.m. - 5p.m.

  • Tuesday & Thursday from 2p.m. - 7p.m.
  • Saturdays from 10a.m. to 5p.m.

Registrant Booking

  • Monday - Friday from 2:00 p.m. - 12:00 midnight
  • Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Court Ordered Booking

  • Between 2:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight (daily)

About the Detention Facility
The Fremont Police Detention facility is currently located to the rear of the police department building - south of Stevenson Blvd. It is a "Type-I" facility with a rated capacity of 60 prisoners and operates on a 24-hour basis. It is intended to provide temporary care and safe custody of persons arrested or detained by the Fremont Police Departmentand other law enforcement agencies, prior to arraignment in court, or transfer to the Alameda County jail (Santa Rita). Aside from housing pre-trial prisoners, the jail also provides other services such as booking and releasing of prisoners, Court Ordered bookings and Registrant bookings.

Currently, the jail books and houses adult prisoners for the Newark Police Deparment, Union City Police Department, BART Police Department, California Highway Patrol, East Bay Regional Park District Police Department, as well as the Immigration and Naturalization Services.

We are staffed by a team of highly trained and ethical professionals committed to meeting the needs of our community and those in our charge on a daily basis.
