The Fremont Police Department Volunteers are an important part of our team. Volunteers enable us to continue our goal of providing courteous, professional and responsible service to our community.
Applicants must be 18 years old, unless specified. All applicants must pass a background check. A record of repeated criminal misdemeanors and/or felony violations or other infractions of the law may be disqualifying. Hours are open, with a commitment of at least two days a month for one to two hours. Enjoy and be a part of an active volunteer community!

Animal Shelter Program for Teens
Alarm Unit
Good comprehension of verbal and written English; knowledge of filing both alphabetically and numerically. Clerical experience required.

C.A.R.E. Volunteer Program
Community Engagement Unit
Under the direct supervision of the Community Engagement Manager, various tasks will include:
Assisting with updating pdf documents in Adobe, writing and drafting community letters, filing, assisting with the permit process for special events, places of entertainment and film permits. A time commitment of 2-4 hours weeky, Tuesdays through Thursdays between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some work may be done at home.
